Dave Gulick is a Portland-based video and music creative who loves bringing ideas to life through rhythm, emotion, and storytelling. With a background that bridges songwriting and visual production, he approaches video projects with a musician’s sense of timing and flow — creating pieces that feel genuine, cinematic, and full of energy.
Music has always been a big part of his creative foundation. As the driving force behind the bands Derby, Fremont, and Teemster, Dave’s songs have been featured in campaigns for Nike, Coca-Cola and Verizon, as well as in a Super Bowl spot for Ford featuring Derby’s “If Ever There’s a Reason.”
In recent years, he’s expanded that creative focus into videography, editing, and motion graphics, blending his love of sound and visuals into cohesive, emotionally driven work. Dave also collaborates with songwriter Johnny Clay (The Dimes) on Ants Ants Ants — a 70’s-inspired, Beatles-esque family band known for its sunny melodies and playful storytelling. Together, they’ve explored everything from indie film scores to animated projects, always looking for new ways to connect music and motion.
At the core, Dave’s work is about one thing: crafting stories that move people — visually and musically.
